ISE EXAM PREPARATION
Trinity College London ISE exams (Integrated Skills in English) evaluate the four linguistic skills – speaking, writing, listening and reading – in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR). These exams are specially designed for the practical application of English and particularly for oral and written use.
At TalkTalk Idiomas we have considerable experience preparing ISE with very successful results. Candidates can prepare in the format best suited to their individual needs: group classes of 3 hours a week, individual and personalized classes, or 2-1 classes.
If you only pass either the Reading & Writing or Speaking &Listening exams in the ISE, this pass will be recorded. You will be able to enroll in the failed section in another call but please ensure you include the passed section when completing registration. Otherwise it may be missed. To pass a section you have to pass both skills of the aforesaid section.
In these exams candidates must show their abilities to read, write, understand and speak in real life situations. They are different from other exams as candidates complete tasks in practical English, instead of mere academic exercises. This is why it is necessary to pass the oral part of the exam as it is worth 50% of the final mark.
You can find further information about the exam structure and what is required for each part:
Advantages for the students:
- Passed sections are retained between calls
- Results are available immediately after the call
- Recognised by the linguistic authority
- Usage of real life English in practical situations
GESE EXAM PREPARATION
Trinity GESE exams are designed in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR). They are exclusively oral and therefore they are considered partial and not integral. Nevertheless, they are accepted in many universities as a level certification, which makes them a good option since they can be prepared in a relatively short period of time and can be very useful.
At TalkTalk Idiomas we have extensive experience of preparing students for all the GESE levels. Preparation can be personalised to best suit your needs: group classes of 3 hours per week, individual and personalised classes, or 2-1 classes.
The exam consists of a 5-15 minute interview (depending on the level) with a teacher, in which the candidates answer or ask questions and also present a topic previously prepared throughout the course with the help of their teacher. The Trinity exams oriented to children are carried out by specialists in examinations for children, so it is a very suitable exam for elementary students and a good training for those who are considering taking more advanced Cambridge exams.
Trinity GESE exams are exams whose main objective is to motivate the student, what enables the youngest to demonstrate their knowledge.
There are 12 levels grouped in 4 blocks: initial, elementary, intermediate and advanced. These exams, recognised internationally, help motivate students, giving a final meaning and objective to the course.
There are 12 grades:
- Grade 1
- Grade 2, equivalent to A1 level
- Grade 3-4, equivalent to A2 level
